Questions.
Do I need an Instagram account to download reels?
No. You only need the reel link. There is nothing to log in to and nothing to install, so it works the same on your phone, tablet or computer, even if you have never used Instagram.
Will the person who posted the reel know?
No. Downloading a reel here does not touch your Instagram account, so the creator gets no alert and you do not appear anywhere in their activity. The download stays completely private.
What format are downloaded reels?
Reels save as MP4 files, the most common video format there is. They play on iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac without extra apps, and you can share or edit them like any other video.
Why did my reel download link stop working?
Download links expire a few minutes after you load a reel, to keep things secure. If the button stops working, paste the same reel link again and you get a fresh one right away.
Can I download reels from a private account?
No. The tool only works with public reels. If an account is private, or the reel was deleted, you see a message saying the post could not be loaded. Try a reel from a public profile.
