Mollygram Telegram & WhatsApp Tools: What Actually Exists

We checked Mollygram, AnonyIG and iGanony for WhatsApp or Telegram tools. None of them offers one. Here is what you find instead, and the privacy risks.

Mollygram, AnonyIG and iGanony are Instagram-only tools: none of them offers a WhatsApp tool or an official Telegram bot. Their sites had no link to WhatsApp or Telegram on 29 October 2026, and none had a page for WhatsApp Status viewing or downloading.

People search for exactly those things, and those searches reach this blog: “mollygram telegram”, “mollygram com whatsapp”, “anonyig com whatsapp”, “iganony whatsapp”. What they find instead is a mix of unofficial Telegram bots that borrow the brand names, an empty Telegram channel, and, in iGanony’s case, domains that now belong to Meta. Below is what we found on each site, what the lookalikes are, and why handing your searches to a Telegram bot is a worse privacy deal than using a website.

What we checked on 29 October 2026

We loaded each site in a real browser, searched the page code for any WhatsApp or Telegram link (wa.me, t.me, share buttons), read the sitemaps, looked up the domain records, and opened the matching Telegram usernames on t.me.

Mollygram has no Telegram bot and no WhatsApp tool

Mollygram’s site contains no reference to WhatsApp or Telegram. The homepage, its main scripts and the rendered page had no t.me or wa.me link. Each Telegram username a searcher would try (@mollygram, @mollygram_bot, @mollygrambot, @MollygramBot, @mollygram_com) showed only Telegram’s blank placeholder page.

The one app Mollygram does link to is an iPhone app called “Black View - Story Viewer”, listed on the App Store since 1 December 2025 and published by an individual developer rather than a company. It is an Instagram story viewer, not a WhatsApp one.

Two other details from our check:

  • Most of the sitemap is not about Instagram. Mollygram’s sitemap listed 603 URLs. The newest entries were articles about matched betting, esports fan communities and online platforms in Alberta. The only Telegram pages were three general articles, such as one about Telegram alternatives on iOS. That is the pattern of a site that sells article placements.
  • The tracking stack is large. The rendered page loaded Google AdSense, Google’s ad server, a video ad network (vdo.ai) and Yandex Metrica (through mc.webvisor.org). The domain is registered through Beget LLC, a registrar whose abuse contact is a St. Petersburg (+7 812) phone number.

For the general safety picture of the site itself, see our Mollygram safety check.

AnonyIG: no WhatsApp option, but a paid “private” offer and a public data API

AnonyIG does not have a WhatsApp or Telegram feature either. A search for a public account on anonyig.com returned a results page with no WhatsApp or Telegram link.

What the results page did show was an upsell: “Want to view private posts and accounts too? View & download private.” The small print changes the meaning. The plans (1, 6 or 12 months, “Subscribe now for 11.99$”, VAT not included) are for a downloader called Televzr, and the offer says it works on “private users you follow”. In other words, it is a download tool for accounts you already have access to through your own login. It does not open private accounts you do not follow. As we explain in whether AnonyIG is really anonymous, no third-party tool can do that.

Two Telegram bots use the name: @anonyig_bot (titled “Anony Ig Checked”) and @anonyigbot. Neither is linked from anonyig.com, so there is no sign that the site runs them.

AnonyIG also sells something most visitors never notice. Its API page describes “eleven calls” with a free plan that “asks for no card”, including calls that return an account’s followers, following, likers and comments. A separate page offers an MCP server so AI assistants such as Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT can pull the same data. If your account is public, your follower list and your likes on public posts are part of what these calls can return.

iGanony: Meta now holds both domains

iganony.io and iganony.com no longer run a story viewer. On 29 October 2026, the WHOIS record for iganony.io named Meta Platforms, Inc. as the registrant, and both domains used Meta’s registrar (RegistrarSEC) and Facebook’s name servers. Neither domain resolved to a website. The Internet Archive’s last snapshots are from April 2023 for iganony.com and August 2023 for iganony.io.

There is no longer an official iGanony to run a WhatsApp or Telegram tool. What remains is:

  • A Telegram channel, @iganony, with 28 subscribers and a single “Channel created” post from 21 March 2023.
  • Lookalike pages. AnonyIG, for example, has an “IgAnony or AnonyIG?” page that sends iGanony searchers to its own tool.

iGanony is not the only case. The domain insta-stories.online, another story viewer, is now registered to Instagram, LLC with the same Facebook name servers. The brand ends, but the name keeps getting searched, and whoever ranks for it gets the traffic.

Why a Telegram “story viewer” bot is a privacy downgrade

A Telegram bot sees who you are; a website mostly sees your IP address. Telegram’s own Bot API documentation states that bots receive “all messages from private chats”, and each message carries a User object with your unique Telegram ID, your first name, and, if set, your username and language. Telegram’s bot features page confirms the language code arrives “in every relevant update”.

In practice, if you send an Instagram username to an unofficial “Mollygram” or “AnonyIG” bot, the person running it gets:

  • A permanent record that your Telegram account looked up that specific Instagram account.
  • Your name and username, linked to every later search.
  • A direct line to message you, which a bot can use later for offers and links.

The story owner still does not see you, because the bot fetches the story from its own server, the same method we describe in how anonymous story viewers work. The risk is the bot operator, who now knows who you are and who you watch. A website that needs no login (including ours, ViewIGStory) never learns your name.

The usual red flags apply with more force in Telegram, because once you start a bot, it can message you again: requests for your Instagram password, “verify you are human” links, and paid access to private accounts. Our roundup of story viewer scams people report lists the common ones.

”WhatsApp” searches are often about WhatsApp Status

None of these three sites can show or download WhatsApp Status updates. They are Instagram tools only, and their sitemaps and pages contain no WhatsApp feature at all. WhatsApp Status is shared only with your contacts inside the WhatsApp app. There is no public web page for it that a website could fetch the way it fetches a public Instagram story.

A site or app that claims to show someone’s WhatsApp Status anonymously, or “who viewed your WhatsApp profile”, is in the same class as a “private Instagram viewer”: it cannot do what it says.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Mollygram have a Telegram bot?

No. On 29 October 2026, mollygram.com had no link to Telegram, and the usernames @mollygram, @mollygram_bot, @mollygrambot and @MollygramBot showed no bot or channel. Any bot that uses the Mollygram name is not linked from the official site. Sending it Instagram usernames gives its operator your Telegram ID and a record of whose stories you look up.

Can Mollygram, AnonyIG or iGanony download WhatsApp Status?

No. All three are Instagram-only tools, and none has a WhatsApp page, button or download option. WhatsApp Status is shared only with contacts inside the app and has no public web page, so websites cannot fetch it the way they fetch public Instagram stories. Treat any site that offers anonymous WhatsApp Status viewing as a scam or as malware bait.

Is iGanony still working?

Not at its original domains. On 29 October 2026, iganony.io was registered to Meta Platforms, Inc., iganony.com also used Meta’s registrar and name servers, and neither loaded. The last archived snapshots date from 2023. Sites that use the iGanony name today are other services, such as AnonyIG’s “IgAnony or AnonyIG?” page.

Do Telegram story viewer bots tell the person you viewed their story?

No. Like websites, these bots fetch public stories from their own servers, so your name does not appear in the story’s viewer list. The trade-off is that the bot operator receives your Telegram ID, name and username with every request, and can link all your searches together. A no-login website does not get that identity.

What to use instead

The WhatsApp and Telegram versions of Mollygram, AnonyIG and iGanony do not exist. Mollygram links neither app, AnonyIG’s extras are a paid downloader and a data API, and iGanony’s domains now belong to Meta. Bots that use these names are unofficial, and each one connects your Telegram identity to the accounts you look up. If you want to watch a public story without being seen, use a website that asks only for a username, and skip any bot, app or “private viewer” that asks for more.
